25/50 river vs. a donk

Villain is very bad. Extremely aggressive, he fires at least one barrel if you check it to him usually. We played 2500nl and I stacked him twice, he wanted to move up and I obliged. He has two-barrel donked into me a couple times, once my draw missed and his AQ high was good and the other his K4 club draw missed and my second pair was good.

First thing, how is my river bet? He's capable of looking me up light but after I made a few smallish value bets (most of this was at 10/25, this hand is probably about 30 hands into our 25/50 match) he started folding more to 1/2 to 2/3 sized bets. IMO mashing pot here is too suspicious as the only time I've done it with second nut flush he snapcalled with small two pair and mucked.

I bet with the intention of calling a shove. I believe he is capable of c/r bluffing here because he's getting a little frustrated, has shown hints of such in the chat. (Some "lol" remarks after a few hands and a “jeez” or two)

i don't get it. you say you bet the river intending to call a shove, so what's the question?

i would probably bet intending to call a shove but then fold to the shove.

wow, i never do anything intending to call and end up folding. i always bet intending to fold to the raise and end up calling (or 3betting AI).

Well, he fired 250 into 300 on the flop then potted the turn which just reeks of weakness (wouldn't he at least just do 650 if he had a boat/trips?).

I dunno. Turn bet makes me want to call this quick but I guess it depends on how pot-button-happy he's been so far with his stronger hands.

do you really think you guess right often enough with these sorts of bet-sizing reads against unknowns? i usually treat everything 2/3 pot or bigger more or less the same until i know villain well enough to confidently make a specific read. if anything my inclination is toward bigger bet = bigger hand.

He's been pot-happy with good and bad hands. Moreso with bad hands I'm pretty sure, but I have seen him do it with both monsters and air.
