Bankroll now is $449.70, up a bit from last month and I didn't really play at all in August. Should have plenty of time this month to meet my goals, let's say $600 and no more 5nl ever.

I have been reading a lot of posts and watching alot of CR vids but still seems like my thinking is really opposite compared to the majority. I think about putting it in on some hands then I post them and people say its a bad shove, but I see other posted hands where people are saying shove and I don't get it. How can my thinking be that far off. AIM is lostrelik IM me if you think you can knock some sense into me I want to move up before I die of old age.

Something about laptop and no HUD/PT and one/two tabling is making me triple barrell. That or 25nl, so much tighter than 5nl my head is asploding. It seems to be working more than not. Logic tells me to stop though. Hmm. Seem to be reading hands exceptionally well, it's just the getting them to fold part that has mixed results.

Wow this just happened, been playing pretty crazy at this table... robusto. Time to stop, lol. Biggest pot I have played in yeaaars online.

Ended up spending the night playing 2 donkeymints, cashing in both but nothing serious. If my KK would have held up in the 50-50 on FT vs JJ on a AK4r flop I probably would have ended with a sweet cash there. Sick runner runner QT.

I have to stove this:

Text results appended to pokerstove.txt

990 games 0.062 secs 15,967 games/sec

Board: Ah Ks 4c
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 98.283% 98.28% 00.00% 973 0.00 { KcKd }
Hand 1: 01.717% 01.72% 00.00% 17 0.00 { JcJh }

I was about 10th in chips and the guy who went all in with JJ was probably 30th in chips. I would have been probably chip leader heading towards the bubble with a 9k first prize.

Sigh.

I worked on my game pretty hard in August. I know the hand sample isn't nearly large enough, and a winrate of 4PTBB/100 at NL10 is pretty "meh". Despite this, I'm damn proud of these stats. Hoping to have my winrate up to at least 7PTBB/100 by September's end. GL all.

I said it in March. I said it in April. I said it in May. I said it in June. I said it in July. And I said it in August.

But this time, I really mean it.

September will be the breakthrough month from mediocrity to excellence! Bring it.

Re: **Official uNL Microbrew thread: September**

Ok so I didn't play a lot in august (5k hands or so, and lost $200).

Then today it went okish up about $50, when this hand comes along:

Co ($90) raises to $4, I ($160) reraise to $14 with KK (have been doing this a lot to the CO), all of a sudden the BB ($110) 15/9 over 100hands reraises allin.

Now I was pretty sure he must have aces right? But then I thought about what people say on these forums about never folding kings unless it's a 200+ bb pot. Well so I called, and ofcourse aces came along setting me back for the day again. And I lost another $100 later on with a straight vs a flush. So yeah september isn't treating me that good.

I am planning to play a lot this weekend though, so things might turn around. And yes I am going to fold aces against nits next time...

Sup uNL. I'll be joining you for a while. I moved up to SSNL somewhere in april-may but due to a recent major downswing I'm now gonna grind NL50 on FTP for a while.

Had my first 10k breakeven stretch which was pretty weird to experience but good for the learning curve, obviously that was followed by running hotttt

All 10nl, 25 buyins in 5.5k hands was nice

Just having a quick look at 2p2 while I am in Paris - BTW does anyone read the 2p2 online magazine? I have never read it but it looks quite good, would be interested to know how many people do read it. Just been scanning this months issue and there is a very interesting article about why poker is good for you - aimed at people who say poker is 'just gambling' : http://www.twoplustwo.com/magazine/current/ : read the publishers note...

OT: Anyone heard of the Velib project in Paris? You pay a 1EUR day subscription or a 39EUR year subscription and you can use bicycles located around paris fee of charge. There a 'Velib' stations about every 100m and you just hop on a bike, cycle around a bit and put it back at another station, no idea why they don't do this in london, i think its a really great idea.

Any word on a new unl donkament btw? Found it quite funny the last time.
Btw I might have lost money last month, but it seems I've also gained a bump to vip status on my ipoker site .

I think at most iP sites VIP Level 3 = VIP Level 1 until you start playing 100NL+. At 50NL and below, there isn't really the opportunity to increase the points you earn as you move up levels because the rakes are never really big enough to allow the extra multiplier to kick in. Even at 100NL the benefit is marginal.

Also, the iP points-to-cash schemes are pretty rubbish to be honest. A bit worse (ie less valuable) than Party Points I think.

Re: **Official uNL Microbrew thread: September**

Ah yeah I'm one level below the last level now (brown I believe), but it really helps I'm earning double the amount of points now, and I've got 1 month left to clear the $600 bonus (39000 points, got around 25000 now, so that shouldn't be too hard).

I do play 100nl though mostly...

Do you fold marginal hands from CO, say QT, if you raised 2-3 hands in a row?
