Drinking
 

Some people are worried I have a drinking problem. I've always just thought it was typical college partying, though I am noticing I am probably doing more of it on average than my friends. I have a couple drinks once or twice a week, and drink to get drunk probably once or twice as well per week.

Curious to see how much other OOT'ers are drinking.

Drink 3-4 times per week and get drunk 1-2 times per week. Still in university. Your poll doesn't have my answers.

You only get drunk 1-2 times a week and your friends think you're an alcholic? Jesus christ that is nitty. 90% of the college kids I know fit your description.

You're in college? I was drunk every day for three years in college. And stoned. Let's not even talk about the other stuff. Unless you're waking up and drinking before you pee, if you're in college you're OK.

EDIT: Wait a minute, you're in Canada? Shouldn't people be worried you're not drinking enough?

This is pretty standard for college, people get drunk way more often than that. Once you get into 'the real world' (still nto there yet myself) you have to learn to curb your drinking if it is affecting your life. Your friends are either square or you are drinking more than you realize.

I drink about twice a week, usually consists of taking 10 shots pregaming and then maybe a drink or 2 at the bar. I consider this light drinking compared to other college kids.

Yea, it was definitely the standard for most of us back in 1st/2nd year. I'm in my 4th year now and everyone is all into this doing their work BS, and way less into their partying. My grades are fine, so whatever, why not go get drunk?
