You probably can't beat the 40 because you are too results oriented and don't understand players. If you checkraise this turn you lose more money since players who cc2 preflop with Q8 don't up and fold straight draws on the turn. And the river, well now he has a PAIR, and the pot is big.

every 3 months or so, almost like clockwork, I feel the need to set 4bb on fire. I don't really tilt much at all in the intervening period.

I raise 73o from the CO because Button is telegraphing a fold. I manage to talk sb out of a call when I say "don't think about it" as he is mulling over a call. BB calls.

A note on BB. He is the most maniacal insane betting station of all time. He will literally betcall with bottom pair on 4th AND 5th, getting raised each time. He limps AJs preflop, calls every street on a scary board with no pair and no draw, and then bets the river UI when checked to in a 4 way pot.

Flop A58 2 tone. He donks. I raise. he calls.
Turn is a 6 which opens up a 2nd flushdraw and gives me an OESD. He bets. I raise. he calls.
River is an ace. He checkcalls and shows A4o. I rack up and leave on my next BB.

My thoughts on the flop were "wow did I really just raise that PF?" and then "ok this guy absolutely cannot be bluffed. What am I doing in this hand? This is gonna be the most expensive thing ever"

and then I morphed into Rambo.

I was feeling physically ill at the time, and moreso afterwards. Farewell $120. It was nice knowing you.

BB had been pretty quiet for 3-4 hours up to this hand, playing tight and TAGfishy. He is the red-head who is bald on top except for a few hairs, is very red in the face and seems to know the regulars.

SB is a solid LAGTAG who I know plays higher and is a possible 2p2er.

Preflop: MP limps, SB raises, BB 3-bets AQo, MP calls, SB caps, MP calls.

Flop: 955r
SB bets, BB raises, MP calls, SB 3-bets, BB caps and says "you guys will figure it out soon enough", MP calls, SB calls.

Turn: Q
SB checks, BB checks, MP checks.

River: Q
SB bets, BB raises, MP folds, SB thinks for about 5 seconds and calls and mucks when BB shows without saying a word.

I find out later that SB had AA. LOL Flop-equity/action!

today is a much better day than yesterday. i was still fairly certain i was going to die in my sleep last night but i seem to have somehow survived.

mixed game let us gogogogo. or at least thats what id say if there were more faithful degens out there that wanted to play during the holidays. gonna have to settle for more 10/10 nl i guess. maybe i win a pot this time.

Thank you HOWMANY, your posts from the last few days reminded me to take some tylenol before going to the casino today. Obviously hungover from the ASU game and the drinking afterwards used to forget that pathetic performance. I always feel alright when I get up, but a few hours at the casino and my head starts throbbing, so I am going to hopefully prevent it!

if anyone is going to oceans plz to be bringing extra cash, im about to go up there but all i have is commerce chips. hopefully theyll let me cash them but i have had probs before at oceans with commerce chips that they wouldnt let other people cash when i let them borrow.

If he was sitting there quietly I don't think theres anyway he 3 bets AQ pf in the BB. It depends on if he went on tilt in the moments from the SB raising to when he decided what to do with his hand. He is really capable of weak tight....but goes on tilt for seemingly no reason and goes absolutely bonkers when he does.
