how's stars going for you?

i do admit i have weird stats, but i did alright at stars for the i think 40kish hands i clocked at .25 and .50.

Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)

Stars is going pretty well for me. I'm set on playing 100NL for now unless I hit a downswing that puts me back into 50NL-bankroll territory. Still break-even at 100NL, but small sample size (2k hands). Haven't had much time to play these past couple days.

Where do you play now?

Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)

Yeah, IMO with good table selection, 100NL is just as beatable as 50NL. It's just a matter of running hot at first to pad my bankroll and be able to withstand the inevitable downswing without having to move back down to 50NL.

dthorne04 11-17-2007 02:10 AM

Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)

sometimes i think table selection is probably the most important thing...ever. it took me a while to learn that...anyway...as i said, good luck. when did you/when are you gonna start playing 100NL?

thing85 11-17-2007 02:16 AM

Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)

2 days ago, on Stars. And yeah, table selection is the most important thing (aside from knowing how to play poker, obv.), because think about it:

If you have position on a 50/10/1 at a 100NL or a 50/10/1 at 25NL table, what's the difference? Well, you can get more money from him in absolute terms, assuming he's fully stacked at both tables. If you can pick your tables well and find ones with maybe only 1 solid reg and a bunch of 35-50/5-15/2 type guys, you're essentially at a 25/50NL-quality table, except the stacks are larger. Same game. If you can beat them at 50NL, you can beat them at 100NL.

Re: ***uNL Microbrew Thread*** NOV 2007 (ot)

how do you guys go about reviewing long sessions? I find it ok to look over 200-400 hands, but 1500+ gets tedious. Are there any shortcuts (ie only looking at certain types of pots) or am i just going to have to put in more time to really analyze everything?

running good at 200nl>>>>>>>>>running like ass at 100nl. i think i should perma quit 100nl atm. 200nl was fine tonight. but as soon as 100nl table was opened a spell was cast over me or sumtin.

bevil was standing next to me talkin about a couple hands he played and in the like 10 mins he was their i lost like 3 buy ins one to set over set against an aggro reg who i had alot of history with and then an over pair vs 2 unders and a fd on the turn and then AA<QQ all in on the xxx flop. lol. sigh.

then i load some 200nl tables and run fine and have donk give me their money for a while. rather nice actually.

Wow I'm pwning SNG's again. These 3.40 turbos take like no time, can 6-8 table them for easy 10-12% roi over 500+ sample. Same for the 45-man 3.25's, which actually may be better due to rake; those I have 20% roi but not significant sample at all.

Not really....sex was with with my GF, who can be kind of a beating. Been together for 4 years and the sex is kind of boring. I think I would rather have just watched porn and rubbed one out.

LOL. I spend more time packaging installers, uploading, and editing web pages now - than I do actually Photoshopping stuff. . Most of my new Photoshop work is for Stars now. The FT stuff is more a matter of packaging into installers.

Although I did make a Semi-Transparent table the other day for a buddy. You can drop any background image for a nice change of pace. I dont think i could 4-6 table using it tho.
