Wiping all traces of Party off computer?
 

I now live in Europe, where I can play on Party.

What do I need to do to wipe off all traces of my old Party install so I can start from scratch?

The only way you can guarantee to do that is to reinstall windoze and remove the directory mentioned below.

However, you should be OK deleteing the directory 'Party Gaming' from the 'program files' directory and then running a registry cleaning tool.

I suspect, however, that just deleting the directory should be OK because I doubt they'll be looking for previous installs since they are not a reliable way of checking whether anyone is trying to open multiple accounts.

AMust is the one I use.

I think it has a free trial period if you downlod it (not 100% sure, though).

They'll know if it's you if you have the same MAC address, which is identified by your network interface card (NIC). You need a new NIC or a program to spoof your MAC Address. The problem with spoofing your MAC is that someone else may have done the same to that spoofed address, and the possibility that Party can check for fake MAC addresses (other poker sites can).

I really don't think they go that far.

You have to remember that people can play on machines other than their own and the sites don't want to go pissing customers off by accusing them of things that they have no way of proving.

The chances that they would make any sort of a fuss because they spot a MAC that has been previously used on a different continent are just about nil.

You'd be far more likely to get caught by providing them with a previously used CC, passport or driver's licence number.

anyway, OP, in practice, to do what i think you're trying to do, you don't need to wipe your PC and/or have a "clean" PC. you need a new name.

A discussion forum is a place were people can give opinions and learn from time to time that their opinions are wrong.

If you had read the thread properly rather than jumping in with a smart arse reply, you would see that he does need a new PC.

He's hardly likely to need a new name since even if someone pops up saying they worked for PP and thatyou do need a new name, I won't believe them. There are way too many people with the same name on this planet to use that as an identifier.

I know that there is a way to do it on the same computer without reinstalling Windows. In fact, there used to be instructions floating around on how to do a clean Party install back when everyone was opening new accounts to get RB.

Party never asked me for any ID, and my address is obviously quite different now. I also have a different funding source.

I'm familiar with regedit. Anyone know what I need to delete?
