This was only the second time he made a big turn check raise in the hour session. Other time was on a J K A board, and i shoved over it with Q10 and he mucked. So lost here!

This is an interesting spot. He could have T9, 45, a pair+flush draw, other random two pair hands, etc.

I would call, but I think it's close either way.

what do u put villain on? 45, two pair? set?

Cuz there's alot of pair + straight draws that may turn there hand into a bluff on the river, and alot of 78, 67, hands that play this the same way...

i don't think many players think/play this way at 100 nl

You've played it like you have an ace, and he really doesn't seem to care. So, I'd put him at 2 pair+, weighted towards sets and straights. I'm not sure he would play bad two pair hands this strong. If he thought about river for a long time before pushing that might bring those low two pair hands more into it.

You could stove all the two pair, sets, and straights that seem likely and look at your equity. I don't think it's enough to call.

have you got any idea what is his caldcalling range pf?

Re: ??? River decison - 100nl

I think I fold here, I don't see him playing worse 2 pair here often enough to be profitable to call.
I would put his range mainly toward straight, sets and 2 pairs being a lesser part.

Re: ??? River decison - 100nl

ya his cold calling range pf is pretty tight. But would definetly include hands like 67, 89, etc as well as pocket pairs. He wasnt three betting too much so 66/77/88 definetly isnt out of the equation.

Maybe not but he seemed a pretty competent opponent and i know im definetly capable of turning decent pairs into bluffs in good spots. Obviously its not standard for this level but it is in the realm of possibility.

Board: 6s Ah 7d 8d 3s
Dead:

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 49.020% 45.10% 03.92% 23 2.00 { Ad6c }
Hand 1: 50.980% 47.06% 03.92% 24 2.00 { AA, 88-66, Ac9c, As9s, Ac8c, As8s, Ac7c, As7s, 86s+, 76s, 54s, A8o-A6o, 86o+, 76o }

ok so i suck with pokerstove but does this seem like a reasonable range???

and also does it mean i should call? (im obv a feel player, lol)

If our plan is to fold on the river, shouldn't we just muck the turn or is villains range too large to do so?

Nightfall123 11-16-2007 06:45 PM

Re: ??? River decison - 100nl

well ya i was thinking that, but i think he semibluffs too many pair + draws on this turn to fold it here.

edit: to fold on the turn that is (river obv still undecided)

Yeah, we have 3:1 and you didn't even add some missed semi-bluffs in this range. This is a call.
