Should I turn my hand into a bluff?

Due to recent history/stats etc. I felt villain might be 4-betting light here. Is it best to push or fold? His flop check is interesting. Worth a bet on turn?

If you think vilain is 4betting light, call him with your 9s instead of raising him.

Well since you find this comical perhaps you could comment on the range I put him on after his check: AJ, KK, KQ, JTs, JJ, TT. Or are you villain?

Obviously on this occasion I hadn't thought ahead, but if I'm expecting him to 4-bet light isn't it better to be greedy and reraise with the intention of pushing to a 4-bet?

In order to 'turn your hand into a bluff' you really need to have your opponent on JJ/TT!

Ok, 'value bluff' then. If my range is right then he folds 28 hands, calls/raises 11 and possibly calls 4.

Also on second thoughts he doesn't check with KQ often because he hopes I'm slowplaying AK or AA.

Your preflop play makes me want to vomit, either shove or fold pf, folding like 98% of the time.

Re: Should I turn my hand into a bluff?

I hate when I ask a question about postflop play and get answers about preflop play. I think you're right that oop it's better to push or fold, and given my read on the situation I actually would have pushed 100% of the time. Nevertheless, sometimes we make questionable plays, get in tricky situations, and then have a decision to make. My question is simple - is the range I'm putting him on correct? If it is, I should bet the turn...
