Dear Friday Night Lights Director

Please consider making your movies somewhat realistic for a sports fan with any sort of knowledge. For example, whoever directed Friday Night Lights, stop making your movie extra dramatic by having the clock continue to run after an incomplete pass. Also, long runs in which there are approximately fifteen broken tackles are relatively rare and should not occur in back to back fourth down plays, especially when the runners are a relatively small quarterback and a fullback who just seperated his shoulder. Oh, and the quarterback ducking under a sack and the defender sliding off in slow motion didn't work in Remember the Titans, and it didn't work in your movie either. Finally, this concerns whoever came up with the idea for the UnderArmour commercial between team underarmour and goliath. Under no circumstance will a team on fourth and goal from the ten yard line ever run a toss sweep. If they do run a toss sweep, please consider the fact that they will at least attempt to block it. Thank you.

i loved the movie. only part i didnt like was when chavez (or whichever permian defensive back) came flying out of the top left corner of the screen to make a superman-like sack on the dallas qb.

Dear whiny critic:
If you want to watch a purely realistc football experience, stop going to movie theatres and go to an acutal football field and watch an actual game. Hopefully the things they do in the game will not be too dramatic or unrealistic for you.

No movies are realistic anymore, but that's the nature of the business. They cater to the common crowd, so the details are not to be worried about. If you want to complain about realism in this movie, you might want to start with just looking at that Dallas team's size and athleticism and figure out how it could've even been close.

Forgot to mention, I did enjoy the movie, surprisingly.

Your comments on FNL are pretty meh. But the Under Armor commercials are stupid as hell.

You will definately like Remember the Titans.
Last play of the final game in the movie, the Titans run a reverse in which the WR runs it 80 yards for a TD without anyone even coming close to touching him. The QB also has 3 blocks and runs the 80 yards down the field with him. what a joke of an ending.

This bugs me too. I'm always amazed at commercials like this. You're telling me there's not one person at the ad agency or the company who realizes how absurd this is?

I don't mind the movies being unrealistic, but they should follow the basic rules.

like the scene in Remember the Titans, when the opposing team fumbled, and the Titans picked up the ball and ran it the same way the oppositition had been running.

still a great moive though.
