$10 Rebuy deep - pot odds call

2 tables left in the $10 rebuy on stars. I'm about average in chips, my image is tight, showing down only premiums, not having to show any steals. Villain is very loose, repopping in position every chance he gets, I put him on a very wide range. I'm 8th in chips with 17 players left.
Pot odds say easy call, and I did, but does folding here make sense as it will leave me only 7bb's if I lose the hand?

If you are willing to call this push, why not push it yourself preflop? The problem here is that you are underdog to any Ax hand, which is surely in the villians range, but by going allin preflop you can (?) drive most of Ax hands out of the play.

Blinds are too high, just push

With all the small stacks behind you, just shove the first time.

Wow, been in this situation a few times. The odds are great so I definitely call.

I start the hand exactly like mariachi played with a 2.5BB raise. The Btn seems to be eager to finish this PF. So he has Ax, or 77-QQ, so I'd easily call his shove.

Do more people justify pushing PF with JKoff or raising to 2.5BB.

The only time, I'd be worried if the Btn puts in half his stack or something... then he's got a draw that cud hit or a big pair. Then I'd be ready to fold if he goes all-in on a QJrag flop or something.

With a 55+,ATs+,KQs,ATo+ range to villain you are about just a little above break even on this call, if villain has a range of 55+,A6s+,KQs,QJs,A6o+,KQo,QJo you have 38% which is 5% above break even. So if villains range is as wide as you say it is call but still a tricky one. You could also save the money and say nice hit or something like that. Like others said shoving yourself would be better, next time I would raise with a decent hand and let him come over the top and suck him out. Besides you said that your image was tight , if villain knows that would he still be pushing you around like that...?

I already know this was a good pot odds call, he showed A8o. Looking at the hand I should have shoved, as I was pot committed to call if any one of them repopped me. However, what I'd like to know is:

As played, does anyone fold to his raise simply based on the fact that I could use the chips I have in better places.

The only reason not to shove is that there's still three to act. If two call your shove, you're probably destroyed, and it would have been much much much stronger EV to fold it, or fold once one of them rejams and there's a caller.

Rare circumstance, but it's entirely considerable.

i think you should raise more if you plan to call a shove. by raising less you are giving yourself an "out". all in i don't like because it reeks of "please don't call me i'm weak" which is exactly what you are. i would have raised a bit more then still called as you did. if i lose then i still can shove and double up and get back in.

Yes. I think you need to give yourself better odds to call the shove preflop by raising a bit more, or just plain shoving if you are planning to have all of your chips in either way here, especially against the player's image you painted.

If your thinkin about folding to a raise then you should be raising ATC. Def have value on this call.
