AAA2s, in a tourney situation

400/800 blinds at a small Horse MTT final table, 7 handed.
UTG Folds
UTG +1(1,042) raises to 800
MP (6,464)raises to 1200
Hero (3,545) AcAhAs2h

Is this an insta fold or reraise? Or does it's low strength, suited A2, top pair showdown value and the fact that there are fewer possiblities for low because of the 3rd ace make it playable?

I figured the case ace was out, and was hesitant to commit more than 1/3rd of my stack. So I folded.

If it was A2sAX, I'm pushing this for sure.

If my stack were reversed w/MP would that change anything?

Fold.

UTG+1 looks like he's going all-in anyway this hand and you shouldn't give him a courtesy double-up, wait for a better spot to get your money in.

I know in a cash game I would go all-in here without a second thought.
Unless the payout structure is very weird, I think it's worth it to go in here with dead money + 65/35 advantage.

I hope this is sarcasm.

Folding here is a mistake I think. AA2 is very strong even without the fourth card. I would call (and probably jam most flops).
If stacks sizes with MP were reversed I would raise. Threatening him with elimination should increase fold equity on later streets.
Full analysis would require a knowing all the stack sizes and payouts, but unless this is some sort of satellite where top five places pay and everyone else gets consolation prizes I don't think it makes a difference - you shouldn't have folded.

I don't see where you are going to get many better opportunities to push with the blinds where they are. I like the reraising/jamming line stated above.

I was about 3rd to last in chips w/3 payout spots. I had just been involved in a race a few hands before and lost a big chunk. Also razz was about a minute away and if I have chips going into it, I have no problem building a stack. I think I was a little gun shy.

You say call and jam most flops. But because of my commitment of over 1/3 of my stack to call, shouldn't I just jam now and not give MP an opportunity to get away from the hand on the flop? I know MP's tendencies and he will raise to isolate with a slightly lesser holding in an opportunity to race the shortstack.

If I were in MP's position, I would've definitly 3 bet here, no question. I would've scooped also, btw. Live and learn.
