4 bet bluff

Villain is a multi tabling reg who likes to 3-bet light in position. Raises a wide range in all positions, and c-bets close to 100% He has 3-bet me a few times already this session and each time I gave up.

Re: 4 bet bluff

i think flop shove is probably bad, since if button has a clue he should be more inclined to shove AK preflop and call with his decentish pairs, looking to felt on a good flop. this is a perfect flop for that and if i was playing well would probably call pre and felt TT+ post here. if i was playing worse i would have folded everything except my monsters pre.

I would take this line against said villain, but not with ATo, more likely AK, AQ as it has more equity vs villains calling range.

I also wait for the SB to leave and take his seat.

If I dont shove this flop then am I just giving up on the hand? I realize he could easily hold a better hand than me but he could also hold worse.

I think you went about this all wrong. Just fold PF, wait for a better spot to do this with (meaing a hand that has much better equity against his range). If he has any read on you (which he probably does if you have one on him) he will look this up a lot IMO.

Do the game dynamics make a difference here tho? I mean if he has 3 bet me a decent amount and I have never played back at him, and now I am playing back strong, doesnt he have to give me some credit for a hand?

Yeah i think OOP ATo is an insta fold when 3 bet preflop, its not the hand to go to war with.

Dump it pre ... this biggest mistake to make against these players is to make plays like this

just wait for a hand it will come... don't force it

Re: 4 bet bluff

The thing about just waiting though is that I have to change my entire style cuz of this guy. So now I have to fold A10o when it is folded to me cuz this guy will probably 3 bet me?
