is the book about Stu Ungar actually good?

I heard there's a another one coming out this summer about him too. I've grown more fascinated by his crazy stories and want to read about him. any thoughts?
and anyone got the details on what happened when he called Mason down with 4th nut low on the river to make Mason never play him again?(story i heard from a fairly reliable source, may not be true)

If you're referring to "One of a Kind" by Nolan Dalla, it's an excellent book. I highly recommend it.

I found this sentence hard to parse, but "Behind the Shades" is UK title for "One of a Kind". I believe that "Man Behind the Shades" is the title for the paperback version of the book that is due out this summer.

In any case, this is an excellent book, and it is hard for me to believe that any other biography of Stuey would top the one by Dalla and Alson.

For those who have read it, does the book highlight his excellent poker skills and achievements, or was it a darker look at a man with a number of demons (drinking, women, drugs) that controlled and eventually ended his life.

Some of each, but it's more a character study than anything else. Here's a full review:
