TPTK gets called twice.

I guess baluga theorem applies here? So it's a good fold. I didn't have reads on the guy, I just sat down.

Re: TPTK gets called twice.

If you had plans to fold to most rivers why did you bet the turn? I understand betting the turn to protect your hand because of how drawy the flop is, but when you fire the turn you have to follow through when those draws don't make it.

By checking the turn you could have called his river bet and payed pretty much the same amount as betting the turn but folding to the river.

His line reeks of either a busted heart draw or something that beat you on the river (78h maybe). We can't eliminate some flopped 2 pair, set, or TJ either which is why I fold this too for $4 on the river.

I'd fold river as well.

He had 2 hearts. Could it be more obvious?

My experiences at 25NL are quite different. I'm guessing villain holds a big hand like a set/TJ or something. Opponents on 25nl often 'slowplay' such a hand by checking flop and turn and firing almost pot on river. With his bet on river, I think your TPTK isn't good, so I'd fold..

what did villain had?

I'm not 100% sure, but wasn't Baluga theorem = "when faced a turn raise or c/r, re-evaluate the strength of one-pair hands". I don't see a turn raise from Villain here.

As played, I like a call on the river. It is possible that he has a monster, but a missed flush draw is possible as well.

Instacall. If villain has an extremely strong hand, he knows you are going to bet the river again when none of the draws hit. Why would he donk-bet nearly pot here and risk you folding a bettable, but not stellar hand? 1 reason: he WANTS you to fold. He likely has nothing and knows the only way he can take this pot is by getting you to fold.

I call for reasons stated above. It looks like he missed a draw and is taking a shot albeit a shot with a bigger bet then most misguided missed draw bluffs at this level.
