Welcome to the table - Edit

40-80 at the Borg. I just sat down and posted in the CO. I'm still taking the chips out of the racks when EP raised, two coldcallers and it's to me with 7c4c. I call. 5 of us to the flop.

Edit - sorry if it wasn't clear. After I call pf, BB also calls. 5 way to the flop. BB ch's flop, EP bets, folded to me I call, BB folds, we're h/u.

Flop red 776. EP raiser bets, I call.

Turn red J. Bet, I raise, insta 3 bet. No read yet, but he seems to be known. I think for a sec and call.

River red 4. Bet, raise, insta 3 bet. I tank, doubt he has 66 or a fl and figure I'm beat. Still, I rarely make big folds in limit.

I'm curious about thoughts on turn and river play specifically.

FWIW - pf I call this everytime posting in the CO if it's 4 way.

Did the 2 coldcallers actually fold that flop?

Raise flop. You need information on whether there's a big 7 out there and you absolutely need to charge draws. Your post also isn't clear on when everyone folds. Is it the flop?

I like a raise on the flop as well. You're trying to make the pot bigger for one small bet so that he has to pay you off down the line also like ben said charge the draws to get there. BB might be able to find a fold with some of the hands in his range if you call flop and raise turn. The way you actually played it, i think it's a begrudging payoff on the river.

I'd usually raise the flop here, but when I don't (and the reason I do is because it usually generates action for me online but may be different live), I play it exactly the same as you on turn/river.

Raise the flop.

As played, theres no chance I'm folding on the river here for one more bet against most of the clowns in that game.

I made the crying call to see JJ. I can see a flop raise but like a turn raise better.

I wondered if 4 betting the turn would be suggested, as I've been thinking about it.

It's funny that I'd usually only raise the river in that spot if I was comfortable folding to 3 bet. Playing NL has got me away from that. Making it 2 bets for value but always paying off 3 is
-EV and a leak.

Tx for the responses.

More like JJ than 66.

It'd be nice to see where the flush draw was and where everything was hitting other than just 'red'. It'd help a bit.

Given this flop, the info on a bigger 7 being there would be about minimal. You likely won't find that out until the turn.
