KK against thinking opponent

villain is competent because we had a chat afterwards and hes probably 2p2, hes only shown me aggression once when he 3b my button raise. havent played any other hands together. he sees me at 19/15/7 over 80 hands

25/21/2 over 600 hands

Full Tilt Poker, $0.50/$1 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 4 Players

BTN: $98.90
Hero (SB): $234.90
BB: $139.65
UTG: $130.30

Pre-Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (SB)
UTG folds, BTN calls $1, Hero raises to $5, BB calls $4, BTN folds

Flop: ($11) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $10, BB calls $10

Turn: ($31) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $22, BB calls $22

River: ($75) A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero?

we could b/f but knowing that hes a thinking player i doubt there is little value in a bet right?

Im not sure what youre ahead of on the river,

Tempted to c/f this river or c/c if you think he's gonna turn 66-TT (cept 99) into a bluff here,

if he had the FD, he's hit, if he had AJ he's now ahead, KJ is unlikely due to us holding KK. QJ is possible but i think he prob checks behind on this river as he has decent showdown value.

bet more on the turn.

I dunno wtf to do on the river. how aggros is he on the river? kinda wanna bet like 40 and fold to a raise. or check/fold or check/call? [censored] man tough spot.

Re: KK against thinking opponent

he might think the ace is like a last desperation bluff and make a light call with Jx.

All I know is that check-fold sucks worst of all.

personally i thought this might be the best line.

if you can explain to me why then i might agree with you here but imo c/f > b/f > c/c >>>>> b/c

How is check-fold that bad here? what is his range after calling the turn? How much of that range is he going to turn into a bluff here?

per street agg factors are 3.71/1.25/1.11

Re: KK against thinking opponent

1.11 AF on the river suggests he isn't turning his made hands into bluffs here, which makes it an easy c/f

I feel a bit uneasy about your read being based on a chat you had after the hand.
