Indiana asked me a few days ago to post a thread in EDF, I said sure.

Indiana, after I said OK: i used to be disliked on OOT but I've matured a lot since then. I just wanted to let u know that I was banned there like 2 yrs ago before I posted. R u ok with this? I used to be a bad poster and didnt respect the forum that much. Im older and wiser now

Me: Whatever, Internet forum, no big deal.

Indiana: LOL, yah true. I've grown up a lot since 2004 anyways...

He then posts the following in the meat/vegan thread: I;ve never met a healthy looking vegan. I've also never met an intelligent one.

So I lock his thread and take away his EDF thread starter status and warn about name calling / trolling.

Indiana: I have absolutely no idea what the hell you could be upset at. Lost here, Indy

Anyway, I just think that's hilarious.

on the one hand i agree with your decision about the vegan comment, on the other his pharmacy thread was fine. so meh. your decision was reasonable imo.

While I agree with all of your points, I think it's worth noting that there are many, many people who have thread starting status on EDF that make similarly retarded posts within other threads. Are you just singling out Indiana based on the PM conversation?

durron: That thread was fine. However, I lock recent threads started by people (3 total now) who have their thread starter access taken away. If he shows he can behave, I'll unlock it.

pj: I gave him permission based on him saying he'd act in a mature fashion. Based on his first couple of posts, didn't look like he'd be able to do that. The greater a body of solid/mature posting a user has, the more leniency they get regarding their posts.

yeah, hes a good guy and an insanely helpful poster in the HU forum. He says it himself though "I always speak my mind, whether people like it or not" (dont nail me down on the quote but it was very similiar)
