Live 1/2 NL, flopped two pair, villain push

Villain loose and aggro preflop. Will call down small bets with 2nd pair etc but overall seems to play well postflop. Also appears to be image aware (made a comment here and there like "gotta change that now that you saw me", etc etc).

My image fairly tight.

10 players, Hero on button ($250), Villain BB ($300), others irrelevant.

Virtually everyone limps pre, Hero holding J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Flop, 7 (or so) players, $14
J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Villain bets $10, 1 caller, folded to Hero who raises to $50, Villain reraises all in, caller folds,...hero?

Villain is loose/aggro.

Could be j/6 also, and an open ended draw. I wouldn't put this past this type of player.

Only thing I think hero is behind is 6/6.

Call.

I would have folded preflop.
As played, good flop for you. Live game, his loose/aggro image, he has a wide range. I have no problem playing for stacks here, call.

Re: Live 1/2 NL, flopped two pair, villain push

Well, I folded face up and villain flashed me J6. SOB!

Would anyone here reraise all in such as villain did with top and bottom over the top of my reraise? Honestly another two pair never even crossed my mind...what does it beat that I reraised with? I had villain on 666 or air and gave him the benefit of solid post flop play (guess not!).

Seriously, isnt villain's line really bad or do I have a lot to learn?

As an aside, I normally muck this pre but with 18 callers, position, and a very easy to play hand postflop (haha, usually that is) I figured I'd take a look.

Someone that is LAG is certainly capable of this type of play. I mean, sure you have to give him credit sometimes, but a good percentage of LAG players will raise with 6/6 in the BB with a bunch of limpers in the hand.

As far as you giving him credit for solid post flop play, you should, because he made you lay down the best hand.

As for villain, I think he's either pushing or folding there as he can't sit there and wait for your bets on the turn and river to try and improve. He's got a strong hand that is somewhat vulnerable. So, by shoving, he can take down the pot right there, as he did. The only hand that will certainly call him is a set, 7/7 being the likely one considering his holdings. He's ahead of one of the other two hands that might call him (6/7), and behind on the other (j/7) but there's a good chance neither call.

So, the way I look at it, he's behind two hands but only one will certainly call him.

Good play by villain, IMO.

Get it in and like it. Villain is not bluffing here. He's value betting with the worst hand. I play very nitty live, but I'm never folding top two against a LAG on a board like this. The only thing worse than folding is folding and showing it, which is inviting everyone to push you around.

when he goes all in you fold, and hope that you flop a straight flush next time he goes all in. then think about whether or not to call...
