Can I call this river?

Villain has been active, but not out of the ordinary... 3 bets a fair ammount PF. 35/15/2 player.

I could have raised the flop, but decided on the turn instead... not sure if it makes a difference. FWIW, I usually raise the flop here, but I figured i was SO way ahead it might not be bad to play it this wya.

Put him on a range, stove it and see if you have the equity you need.

i'm not even going to look at this hand.

All I saw was you have K9, on a 992 rainbow flop

yes, you call the river

Didn't stove it but my feeling is you can't call here any reasonable player. But what the hell. Just pay off

LOL, I know I call this every single time, I seriously doubt it's correct though and I think OP has a better chance of knowing whether he should call or not. What does SB 3-bet here preflop (are there any 9's inthere), and is he capable of retarded aggression on the turn without an A?

Re: Can I call this river?

He had been agressive, but only in position. This was only his 2nd time 3-betting from the blinds in ~50 hands at this point.

I didn't mention that when I capped, it was NOT an insta-call from him.

50 hands isn't enough to know if he'll go spewtard with KK here, but I can't put him on anything I beat. And as for the 9s in his range: A9, 99. He was raising 15% PF, and again, mostly in position.

These spots suck. I know he only has to have KK 1 in 16 times here, but I really feel like I'm just lighting $6 up.

Oh, and should I have popped the flop? Or with a flop this incredibly safe and me having position was it an OK line?

Re: Can I call this river?

As I already said I always end up calling here, especially against unknowns. The reason I'm not sure it's correct is the same as yours, I can't think of a single hand that makes sense for him to play this way that you beat.

I think calling the flop, and raising the turn to maximize value is fine.
