Best way to get $ to Vegas
 

I was thinking of making a trip to Vegas and playing some of the reasonably high stakes games while I was there. nothing crazy, but maybe like a 25/50 or 50/100 if they're running. If I wanted to bring like $30 or 40k over there and I was flying can I just bring cash? Is this much cash allowed on flights? I'm sure I can bank wire to the casino also. Is this a pain in the ass? Do they wire it back to your account or give you cash to take back or can you choose? Thanks in advance for the help.

You SHOULDN'T have a problem with 40k. As long as you're not crossing country lines, you shouldn't have a problem with more than 10k.

Taking 40k cash on a plane is no problem from a legal standpoint. I've done it and it didn't make me feel really really comfortable, but its fine. Theres a very small chance you'll get detained and questioned on the off chance security even notices the money. In this worst case scenario, they still aren't going to charge you with a crime or send you to Guantanamo or anything. Sad but true, this is probably much less likely to happen if you're white.
Wiring money to the casino is a better option and not at all difficult. Call up the casino you want to wire money to, ask to talk to the main cage, they'll give you the information you need to give to your bank. You have to go to a physical bank to take care of it but if theres no line and you get a competent teller it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes.

TNUC you cant take more than $10k in from UK, not without alerting customs etc and getting clearance for it anyway

Last time I was in vegas I wired 20 or so out there and carried twenty with me. It is pretty easy to wire to the bellagio.

over new year's lefort and i both wired money to the Venetian where we were staying and they would only give us like 15% of what we wired in cash to go play at bellagio/elsewhere and it ended up being a huge pain in the ass as we had to like launder it out of the casino playing bj/short poker sessions/having other people cash out for us.

So, if I were you I'd just carry it.

It is legal to bring any amount of cash. No report is needed in domestic flights. For 10K or more on International flight, just report before landing to US airport - they give you a form.

BTW, there are citibank offices just two blocks away from the strip on Paradise Blvd.

If you go to Vegas even semi-often, open a bank account in vegas so you can freely transfer money back and forth with no charge.

This is classic. I think you must've looked at the "meet the pros banner" on stoxpoker a week ago and saw what was a small picture od Knish from rounders...lol. That isn't me and my real picture is up now.

Easiest way is to wire to the casino as they will take good care of you as well. And if you want to cash out with them it is easy and the have wire options.

I thought I heard some trick about just putting one dollar bills outside rubber banded rolls of 100s. I think it's tougher for them to be able to search you then. Obviously this probably isn't feasible for like $50k+, but it might help.

er this happened to me at bellagio too, i assume its standard.

i wired 50k there, they would only give me 5k as cash, the rest in bellagio chips. fine if you're only gonna play at the place you wire it too, otherwise not so much

happened to carrotsnake during wsop too for 10k took him a while to get someone at MGM to cash it out (he wired to bellagio who wouldnt give him cash at all)
