villian is a normal tag, but he does defend his blinds a lot, and likes making weird plays and the like. He's 3'd be a few times pre, I haven't tangled with him that much though.

I like checking. We're put in a nasty spot if he c/r-es, we have position and can call, our draw is (relatively) disguised given PF action, blah.

My fear with a check is that we peel a total blank on the turn thereby seriously harming our hand. I'm happy to get my chips in on this flop and take my chances vs villains range so I'd go ahead and bet.

you have a ton of fold equity here. If he check raises you all in you have a really easy call. Whats the problem?
