1-2 NL flush and straight draw all-in call

9 handed, Live game. Hero is in 6th position. 3 players limp to Hero. Hero limps with A-3 hearts. Button limps, small blind limps, big blind bumps to $10. All 3 limpers call, Hero calls, button and small blind call. Flop comes 2-4-7 with two hearts. Big Blind shoves all-in for $90 into the $70 pot. Action folds to hero. Read on big blind is that he would only do this with a pair- he wouldn't c-bet two over cards. Only other read is that the button has been pretty loose and has a monster stack.

P.S. I allready hear the "I wouldn't call pre-flop" argument. More interested in the flop thinking here...

Preflop is totally good and standard live, esp with some deeper stacks around.

Well, if your opponent has two kings here, you are a FAVORITE to win the hand.

I would push all in preventing button from coming along with something stupid (and if he calls with a worse draw hey that's great), and feel good about getting 2:1 on my money in a likely coinflip situation.

I probably just call and hope the Button calls and lets me check the Turn UI, but I'd at least consider shoving.

Against any pair 88-KK, you are a slight favorite (3 A's, 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]'s, 3 offsuit 5's) and are getting almost 2:1 on your money. You're a slight underdog to AA. Given preflop action, I'd say a set or straight are very unlikely from BB (but not necessarily Button).

Yah I'd say a straight is pretty unlikely here too

Yeah- I think the question here is really shove or call? I think the button would call with an overpair (8-8, 9-9) and maybe even with top pair. In all of these cases I think I want him to call. However, what if he shoves? Or if he shoves on the turn? I'd be calling $260 into $340 which I would have to fold on the turn.

Okay, okay, I misread the board. It's live poker, so I have to simulate drinking 10-15 free Coronas and not having slept in 3 days.

I would shove here, it prevents difficult decisions later on, and you're probably never a huge underdog given this board.

I think this hand is kind of interesting, because it seems the difference between calling and shoving is the stack sizes of the guys behind you.

I.E. if the button has 200 more it'll be like 200 more in a 340 pot on the turn if he overalls. You'll be committed to call the turn bet not matter what so you should just call and hope for an overcall since # of opponents doesn't realy change your equity much.

If he has like 340 more you might be in a spot where you have to fold on the turn if its a pot size turn bet. So better to shove now.

Have to pokerstove it but I think a call here with the intention of calling any further bets on the flop/turn is fine. You'll have odds to call KK on the turn, and he'll probably shove sets on the flop.
