10nl FR: AKo oop, first nl post

I'm mostly a limit player, but I'm working on my NL game. How'd I do with this? The river [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] worried me but I didn't think check/calling was right.
Not too many hands played yet, so villain is relatively unknown. He seems to be not too loose and not overly aggressive though.

Bet more everywhere. PF, a standard raise is to 4 x BB + 1 BB per limper, so .50 in this case. OOP I'll often bump that up an extra BB, so .60 is good here. $0.30 is way too small. Flop bet should just be pot, you want to build a big pot here to extract from weaker aces and protect against flush draws. Turn also needs to be bet harder, as played with a $1.70 pot I'd bet $1.50 here. River bet is ugly, either check-call (don't like this that much), or bet out for like half the pot (good at this limit, since no one can fold an ace).

Not only do you have to worry about the heart on the river, but the board paired J's. Got to watch out for the FH too...

Raise more prelfop oop.

Flop and turn bets are ok but could be a little bigger.

Value bet the river for about half pot or so.

In general don't be afraid of runner runner boards. Sure occassionally someone will runner runner you but mroe often than not your hand is still good - so get max value out of it.

Bet way more everywhere. Raise to .50 pre-flop. Bet pot on flop, turn. Bet 1/3 pot on river.

Keep a full stack. Raise $0.60 preflop. Bet more on the flop; bet more on the turn; river is ugly but I think block bet at least half a pot.
