Help w/ TYPES of shoes
I want to minimize the number of shoes I have and am pretty confused about which types of shoes are usable for which activities.
I do the following: 1.) Tennis 2.) Squash 3.) Working out 4.) Running - very rare 5.) Basketball - very rare 6.) Casual use I plan on having: 1.) Tennis shoe 2.) Squash shoe (indoor court shoe) 3.) ???? Should I use my tennis shoe for working out and casual use? Should I get one additional shoe for both of these functions (running shoe? crosstraining shoe?)? Should I get multiple additional shoes to meet the above functions? |
Re: Help w/ TYPES of shoes
Playing basketball without basketball shoes is not a good idea.
You can substitute a running shoe for a tennis shoe, but it isn't optimal. If tennis is your #1 sport, get a nice pair of tennis shoes. Then get a pair of running shoes (you can work out in these), basketball shoes (they will last a long time if you only wear them playing ball), and of course casual shoes is a whole different situation. I have no idea what a squash shoe is, so I can't get into that. |
Re: Help w/ TYPES of shoes
This thread is worthless without pics of shoes. Actually, this thread is just worthless.

Re: Help w/ TYPES of shoes
Agreed on basketball def needing it's own shoes, I can't beleive how big of a difference it is when I forget my shoes or a game breaks out and I don't have my shoes.
I have 1 pair of tennis shoes that I run, workout, tennis in, and one for basketball. And then Adidas shell tops for casual use. |
