What is the lowest limit you started at to build your BR and never made another deposit as you worked your way up the ranks?

0.5/1 when I deposited $100. I had played microlimit home games with friends and carefully read TOP, HPFAP (SSHE wasn't out at the time) and played live 4/8 at Foxwoods (= easier than 0.5/1 online) before making my deposit. Most importantly I had started reading 2+2 forums and thinking about poker, especially specific hand threads, in my spare time.

When I started out I had good starting hand selection and was a good value bettor. My hand reading was weak and I made a lot of desperation crying calls (often the 2 BB variety after turn raises) in big pots even though I was winning like never. Even so, I was able to beat the microlimit games fairly easily, with much help from these boards.

last april Party put $50 into my account after a year of inactivity. I ran at like 18BB/100 at 1/2 (super luck I know) and was playing 5/10 within a month. I cleared over 30K last year off that free $50 from party.

I put 25 in UB ran it up to 100 and quit. Few months ago I put in 65 and ran it up to 300 and now never looking back.

Put in $100.00......lost it at $1/2.

Put in $50.......lost it at $.50/1.

Put in another $50........lost it at $.25/50 NL.



Said "Screw it", and deposited $488.50 (stock purchase cash out), and haven't had to redeposit since. Played $1/2 until bonuses and small wins got me over $1,000, then started mixing in some $2/4 and a little $3/6.


I'm about due to take drunk and lose it all playing $10/20 or something idiotic like that.

started with $30 played $.05/0.1, deposited $200 more a couple of month later to get my roll to $500 so i could bonuswhore better.

Started with $25 at UB's .25/50... lost it. Depostied another $25... lost it. Deposited $25 more, ran it up to $75... lost that too. Made one last deposit of $25, got it up to $100. Deposited another $100 and withdrew from UB for a total of $200 and jumped on a 50% up to $100 sign up offer from party. Cleared it putting my roll at 300BB's for .5/1 and haven't looked back since.

I deposited $70 into pacific poker and I've never re-deposited since. I started at .10/.20 and worked my way up to 2/4 on pacific (moving up at 100bb bankroll for a new level). Then I found 2+2, realised I was playing with bankroll fire, transfered to party and went back to .50/1.00. I've been playing 5/10 6max for about a year now and finance my music equipment purchases with my winnings [img]/images/graemlins/cool.gif[/img]

I deposited $35 at stars. Got a $7 bonus for the deposit. S

Started with the $1+.20 45 person SNG's. I played/ran bad, down to $14. Cleared the bonus and won one of the tourneys, kept playing 1.20's until I got to around $55, played $5 SNGS, then played some $6 turbos, then started bonuswhoring.

I've been casino whoring lately, north of 3k now. I'm so overrolled it isnt even funny (1500 BB's...)

Started out whoring .5/1 at Party. I was literally never down more than $30, and I'd cleared about half of the initial $100 signup bonus by then. Considering partially cleared bonus, I've never been down more than two or three dollars online.

I started on the UltimateBet play money tables with 1000 chips, and without redepositing, I've turned that into 1,083,182 play chips in less than 2 years. <font color="white"> Also, I built a 5-figure poker bankroll from a $5 royal flush bonus at the play chip tables, starting with $0.01-$0.02 limit. </font>

Started with minimum deposit ($25) on Stars 1 week before Xmas. Playing 0.02/0.04 &amp; 0.05/0.10 limits.

Nit warning: 300bb for $0.05/0.10 is $ 30 so I deposited $24 and got $6 bonus. I'm currently playing $10/20 and $15/30 (and getting my ass handed to me).

I started with $50 on Party, played some limit, was up to about $90 but went all the way down to $25.77. Then I played $25NL plus some SnGs and got it back up to around $125 before trying a party mini-step SnG and parlaying $6 into $300. Now I'm adequately bankrolled.
