Betting the river seemed a little suspicious to me. Plus, if the queen hit him, I wanted to give him the chance to value bet.

I probably would've lead the turn again, unless you knew villain would bet. And you have to bet the river. Check, check is absolutely horrible for you.

I don't mind checking the flop, if you bet bet bigger on the flop turn and river.

Bet the turn for sure. Bet more on all streets.
