25/50 weird spot with AAAx

So me and cts had been playing 3 tables of HU 25/50 for about 30-45 minutes before this hand came up, and the action had been pretty LAG, with a lot of 3 and 4betting preflop (although I had been the only to 4bet and had never shown anything less than AAxx). When this hand came up, and thinking about it afterwards, I realized that I truly have no idea how to play AAAx hands. I was pretty shocked to find that I was only a 60/40 favorite preflop when I played this hand back on PT. Anyways, I'm gonna post the hand in its entirety.... let me know if you play it any differently.

Without looking at the results. This is about the worst possible flop for your hand.
People love ace high flush draws. A suited ace always gets played preflop.
That said, you can't possibly get away from that flop due to your preflop play. You definitely have 25% equity against opponents range so calling all in would be automatic, so betting all in is standard.
The whole hand played itself totally standardly. The only thing is your two unsuited aces have little chance of bluffing a flush since you're so deep preflop.
But then heads up, nobody folds a flush anyway.

I don't always three bet pre with aces HU.. in fact I usually don't. But given you two players I am sure there was a bigggg percentage of 3-betting going on so you can probably always do that.

So from that point on nothing wrong with this hand I don't think. I don't like calling the extra 2700 on the 4 bet with A864. Its like playing 3 cards.. and only one suited too.

Flop obv. standard.

All looks pretty standard except for maybe calling with A864.. even though its 60/40... You'll end up putting that last 5k in pretty shape most of the time. Thats my two cents anyway

I actually really like the hand. 3betting here (and 5betting) is fine because of how aggro you were playing. Your 3betting range is so wide (and CTS is aware of this) that you can get away with 3betting here and NOT being solely put on AAxx, and when CTS 4bets you, the 5bet, I think is standard since you KNOW hes not on another AAxx hand.

You also have a suited Ace and a another broadway card that makes straights possible. I say get as much of your stack in preflop as you can.

This is a decent flop also. The only thing that you need to worry about is the hearts. I can't see 5/2 or any wrap low wrap in CTSs range unless its was a A234ds or 3456ds type hand. Having the Ts in hand makes it less likely that you're up against TTxx, so I also like the flop shove. Hands that he calls with are KKTJ/AKJT type hands, T987 type hands, and hands like he had FD + gutter/or pair type hands. With the majority of his range being the KKTJ/T987 type hands I think the shove is fine. Your hand is ahead of his range given preflop action and if its not, its probably so close that shoving is the only player here with under a psb left.

ugh gordo, i dont really see how you can play the hand any different.

heads up with that kind of action and your hand and your the first one pushing the flop seems ok to me. any other line is nitty in my opinion.

i like to play conservative but this is a prime example of variance that i will push all day long.

good play in my opinion and if you lost, its just bad timing dude.

hee hee, let me see the results now.

OK, so I was thinking about this hand more, and although the result is obviously not what I was looking for, the flop was realistically great for me, as it allowed for a pretty painless push. What if the board comes down 678, 234, TJQ, etc? Basically I'm asking if you guys just push any flop with my hand given the amount of money invested pre..

Quick question... Does CTS EVER fold to this 5bet with ANYTHING he 4bets given the stack sizes tempo of the match?

Cole, feel free to weigh in.

I don't push ANY flop with this hand here. I think I would pusht the 234 flops however. I really think CTS's range is heavily weighted with 789T or AKKQ/KKQJds type hands. I have no idea what he was doing with the hand he actually had, maybe he was just getting frusterated with your 3bet frequencies and thought you both were deep enough where he could try to combat those 3bets with weaker hands. Thats my guess at least.

If you flop any sort of FD with the spades then I shove regardless of the flop. The QJT hand is an interesting spot. I'm not sure what the best play would be there.
