My wild guess is that anybody who has this game might as well be dead for the next month or so, but I'd love to hear a review myself.

I am waiting for the same. I am afraid that my 14 month old PC will melt into a pile of slag trying to run it on its highest settings =)

I put on my robe and wizard hat in anticipation of this fine game.

My PCGamer came today, and it got a 95%. The reccommended system specs are at least 3.0ghz, a gig of ram, and at least a Geforce 6800. Your PC's just MIGHT melt.

I'd love to start this today, but it would just kill my entire month. I'll have to wait until I finish some other stuff.

Re: Elder Scrolls: Oblivion?

It's the same game as Morrowind except shinier (I wouldn't even say prettier as I think Morrowind had better art design). Sooo if you liked Morrowind you'll probably like Oblivion. If you didn't, then you won't.

It's gonna get great reviews based on the graphics and the supposed open-endedness. The graphics deserve praise; the open-endedness is no more real than it was in Morrowind. Yes you can go anywhere and talk to anyone etc etc but that's only worth so much when the mechanisms for interacting with the world, i.e. the actual gameplay mechanics, are as limited and clumsy as they were in the original Arena, which came out in the mid-90s. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of the games...but the fact is that the only real progress the series has made in ten years has been in the graphics and sound departments.
