What's w/ BB overbet and the 18? I raise to 1000 straight and call a push. My guess is he hit his 2nd pair w/ the 2 (if he had A5 or slowplayed 56, well, that's poker) and I want the opportunity to stack him.

Re: Value bet this river?

I think I make a raise here. I doubt BB has 56 as there are two hearts on the board when the 4 comes, and I'm sure he's betting there with three others in the pot. So you're worried about a bigger set and A5.

Since the BB could have anything, I like a min-raise here. I doubt SB is calling BB's original bet, so flat calling in the hopes of SB calling too isn't as good as min raising and hoping BB calls your raise with one or two pair, in my opinion. Anyone else not make a min-raise here?

Yeah the only reason I thought min raise was if he was betting this with one pair and you wanted to keep him in the hand. Two pair is definitely coming along for the ride, so I think you're right.

You have a point, but I want to get some money in there and I HATE it when ppl make these weird asss raises. If they fold, well, I'll take the pot right there and won't show that I rivered them, but if they think they can buy this pot with a bet that looks big (uses more chips on the screen) they are sorely mistaken.

do you just want to call?
I think I'm always raising here, but I'd love to hear a good reason for otherwise.

Easy call here.

There's a good chance that you're beat here. In fact, you probably are. If you raise, you are only getting value out of something like K7, or making a bluff fold anyway.
