Villain is new to the table so i have no stats on him... Is this standard??

Seriously, I'd just call against an unknown. I'd feel better about getting it in here if he raised to like 10k, but his minraise has me confused enough to see a flop.

odd hand...don't mind the heros play...he raised 3X from LMP and SB could be defending light...I think the minraise is odd but we should have some FE and have a hand that plays well if called...

We are getting good odds to call and we have position. We are fairly deep so IMO calling is better than shoving.

As a side question, how often do you see villian's min reraise with 20-25bbs and fold to a reshove? I just don't feel like we have a whole lot of FE here.

Given that villain is OOP making this play, stacks are relatively deep, we are getting good odds to call, and shoving allows villain to avoid making a mistake, i like calling IP and seeing a flop. with the K high flop i probably call a half pot bet or below, fold to more and see what develops.
