5/10 Top Set AA,, Deadly River Shove

6 max 5/10, I am playing semi-loose, and villan is playing loose on the donkish side. He has $1300 and I have him covered.

Villan Limps UTG. Folded to me in the BB i raise it up to $40 He calls.

Flop comes A, 4, 5, Rainbow.
I bet 80 he calls.
Turn is a 7
I bet 180 he calls
River is a 2
I check planning to call a river bet of about half pot to pot.
And villan open shoves for $984

is this as easy of a call as it seems?

What do you put villan on? Yes it does not matter and u cant fold top set?

I mean if flopped or turned a set it is very likely there would of been another kind of raise in the action, If he flopped or turned 2pair you can almost certainly expect a reraise.

If he rivered a set or twopair, you can almost certainly expect a non all in bet

If he has a mid PP that he thought was all the way good, whats the point in shoving the river? Is he bluffing what he thought was the best hand, or was he drawing until the river with a semi-made hand or draw?

This boils down to the river being a value bet or a bluff, you deside.

This is what i think villans POSSIBLE river shove range is:
A3, 43, 53, 36, 33, 66, and 67

I think It is less likely he has a hand like 36 and 67 because I think he might of reraised me with this hand on the flop, but I am not really familiar on how passive the villan is.

You would really consider calling when it is pretty obvious a single ace is definatally in my range? I mean considering he is a donk, a set is a pretty standard reraise here for almost anyone.

I think that the overshoving the river for almost x2 the pot has greater chance of me laying down AK then any turn or flop bet. And if that is his plan and read all along whats the point in playing a set that way?
