I find myself in the following situation quite frequently at 50 NL and I was wondering what everyone would do...

Effective stacks are 100 bb..

Hero is dealt 66 and raises to $2.00 from MP after a fold. Button (or Cut off) reraises to $X. What is the maximum value of X that you will call in this spot? (assume villain is a typical NL 50 player running average stats)

you will hit your set approx 1 in 8 times.

Therefore, if villian stacks off everytime you hit a set, then you need pot + implied odds of 8-1 to break even.

But villian will not always stack off, for instance, he has QQ, flop comes AK6.

So you must adjust, i believe the math has been done many times and it works out to something like 11/12-1 needed.

That number should increase/decrease based on reads etc.
