closest matches to what?
they don't have a large dna databank to compare it to.

i'm pretty sure if that happened to me, even if somehow i didn't resurface for 10 years, it wouldn't take too long to be identified.

Yeah, agreed. My family wouldn't quit looking. Makes me wonder if he has anyone looking for him... maybe he doesn't want to know who he is.

Also, he has a slight accent, couldn't someone in the FBI get a really good idea of where he is from via this? Just from having family in Kansas I can usually tell if someone is from Kansas or Oklahoma almost immediately, I'm sure there are people much better at it than me.

I would say he wants to know who he is as he's going through the interviewing process, TV, etc. etc. Maybe someone who knows him doesn't want to claim him (ie: Overboard) but I would think he would be id'd by now too.
