Checks being Delayed/Bounced I\'ve Finally seen the Light.

I'm waiting on my check for 900 dollars from bodog for 3 weeks now I've also been hearing lately the western union method isn't working to well anymore.

Notice we're at 210-20ish of the 270 days that was set up to create a system for banks to figure out how to stop gambling transactions. Well guess what THEY FIGURED IT OUT!!!!. They know where the checks are coming from and it is no coincidence that checks from gambling institutions keep getting bounced. As of right now they are giving the money to us because they want to test how well the system they are setting up can detect gambling based transactions.

But seriously I would get your money out and stay out for now if you're a US player. In October everyone including me thought the government couldn't stop us from sending or receiving funds. Well there plenty of ways for us to fund. Ewallets, check, wire, credit card, and even phone cards.

This is nice but what about withdrawals. The best the casinos could come up with in this time for withdrawals is checks and money wires from WU. Guess what, these methods suck and don't work now, and definitly won't work after the 270 period.

It surprised me that WU didn't figure out until now that the hundreds of thousands of dollars in wires coming from juan valdez in some no name island to random people across the US was really from a casino.

Think of any other business in which money has to be sent in secret, where checks have to be delayed, reissued and then bounce. Any normal rational person would not even dream about putting there money in such an institution. Especially after the neteller debacal, in which I am still owed money.

Well I've finally seen the light after 4 years of very profitable poker, and you should too. Until a better solution for withdrawals is offered, putting or keeping money into any of these institutions is just asking to get burned.

I've cashed 4 seperate bodog WU

and 5 checks from BCP aka Absolute.

I'm sure most people are getting there money in a timely matter, but what about all the posts with withdrawal issues. This forum, although large, I'm sure only represents a small percentage of the total amount of US players. Here some examples.

Some WU withdrawals not being accepted and canceled.

Checks being delayed, bouncing, or being reissued with different banks.

The way I see it with checks, its a cat and mouse game once the government finds out the checks or wires are from a casino, they get banks to reject them and the casinos try to change processeors. Then they give us some bs excuse like absolutes issue with the routing number or Bodog's march madness. What I think is happening is they have to try to whip up a new way to hide that they are a casino to pay us. Neteller lied to us for months I see no reason why the casinos wouldn't do the same to prevent panic.

I posted this because I don't want others to experience what happend to me at neteller. There was no time to get my money out since I didnt have a neteller card. I submitted the withdrawal request the day the dudes were arrested and still haven't received anything.

I'm sure there is a much better chance that I am wrong about what I am saying. However with the current situation I still think there is a signifigant probablility that S*** could hit the fan and everyone will be screwed.

Nice to hear, I hope I'm just jumping to conclusions then. Have you guys withdrawn and had your checks clear in the last two weeks or are these older withdrawals?

I hate to say it, but I think that the poker-playing profession attracts enough people with questionable credit and cash flow that I attribute most of the held check reports to customers looking shifty, than the the checks themselves being in any danger of going bad.

Have you done Western Union withdrawals from Bodog in the last three weeks and if so how long did they take to get there? I got a little sketched out by how long it took my last check to arrive and I was thinking about playing on Stars instead of Bodog when I redeposit for this very reason.

However, if you can still move the money fairly easily, then I'd rather play on Bodog since the games are so much softer. Also, what were the fees for your withdrawal?
