His turn donk didn't look like a very strong hand to me, probably some marginal hand wanting a showdown or similar. Sets/ quads are extremley unlikley here, AQ would probably re-raise pf and it's unlikely he has a two. The best hand I can put him on his AJ and he probably folds that, so does this look good?

I dont get the action ? He bets 30 and you call 194 all in ?

his hand might not look very strong, but a bizarre shove here is going to get called very lightly. I know balance isn't that big of a deal at 1/2, but lines like this tend to get paid off by alot more than they should since it looks like you want them to fold. I also think you're going to have difficulty getting him off any ace if he thinks through the hand. Realistically, what hand do you want him to put you on here? This will fold out higher draws than yours along with like King Queen which he should be 3betting a decent amount of the time, if that's what you were going for, but I think there's much cheaper ways to accomplish this. I'd like to hear other peoples thoughts on this though

he has to be a decent player to lay down and Ace with any kind of kicker so this is something i'd never do without read. Plus you could have zero outs if he calls

I raised all-in on the turn. The convertor always writes this as 'calls all-in'. I dunno why.

He reps TP and you're shoving?

Re: NL200 Shoving over turn donk with a draw

I generally would not shove this particular draw. When semi-bluffing all in I want to either have the nut flush draw or a combo draw.

When you try this and get called by KdQd it will be clear why I think this is a good general rule to abide by when shoving on a draw.

Also, and this is the most important thing to consider when you are deciding when to semi-bluff shove, you need to be sure that you have adequate fold equity.

You cannot just look at your own hand and say "Hey, I've got the nut flush draw so I'm pushing." These plays are profitable only because you can get villain to fold the best hand sometimes.

However, it looks like you understand this fairly well. I'm only stressing it because I make this mistake myself, and it costs me alot of money.

Also, do you take this line with sets?

I'm not doing this without a specific read.

What big hand would you do this with? He probably calls with any A figuring a split.
