Really shameful line jumping at the Borg?

First time I was there only played live once before right when it was blowing up (2003?) right at 7 pm, the worst time to show up.

Line was ridiclous, but lots of people weren't there. I heard what I thought were my initials (but i sorta knew they weren't. the level of acting was like an out of body experience), got to a 2-4 table.

My friend, who knew his initials were after mine, goes to the brush and says something and he gets sat as well.

Three hours and we hear our initials called sequentialy.

Didn't plan it, just happened. Wouldn't do it again.

if you didn't jump the line you would probably be still waiting on 48 hours later.

Say three Hail Marys and two Our Fathers, tithe to the dealer and do your best to sin no more.

Standard. May be a crappy thing to do but when they call DC and your initials are TC and DC is not showing up its a pretty normal thing that happens when their are 30 people. Other guy shows up or someone gets wise its simply oh i thought you said TC.

I've been tempted to do that intentionally but in the end I don't want to have to think about it... So I didn't/don't do it. I like that it was semi-unintentional.

I like to save my good fortune for those times that I have truly gotten screwed (by either not hearing my name called, my name actually never being called, or the automated queue system going haywire). So that when I plead my case I don't have to worry about having a reputation...

I laughed a bit that your friend actually convinced them to jump him in the line - without checking if his initials were on the list. He could have gotten you screwed if anybody cared enough.

I've been jumped twice at the Borg...neither time did I ask for it, I was just near the proper section when the seat came open.

They are two of my worst three sessions ever.

Next time I'm declining the seat.

Re: Really shameful line jumping at the Borg?

I've never intentionally line jumped. I have accidentally line jumped when I sat down in a seat that rightfully belonged to someone with a name that sounds a lot like mine. This doesn't happen where they have computerized lists and I can see my position on the list, but at Bellagio and other such places that keep a written list I've goofed.

But I play 99% of the time in Vegas and when the waitlist is long somewhere I just head somewhere else. Don't think I've waited more than 30 minutes for a seat out here in the last 2 years.
