WTF!? I thought I was at university
Little background, I am taking an intermediate level geology course and have only one major assignment dur for the entire semester that was due last week (Nov 19).
I slacked off and didnt finish it so I sent the prof an email asking for an extension and got one until today, again I wasnt done so I sent her another email explaining that I was sorry it was not there yet and I would have it to her tomorrow. She replies that it is no problem and just to make sure I have it to her by Dec 8, last day of class. WTF!? I thought this was university not some BS where you can get extensions because the 30/60 was ripe for the picking and I has a 30 hour session. I think it might also have something to do with the factthat she works for the same company as my dad. I was kinda expecting an email alog the lines of " get it in here today and expect a 30% deduction in marks". |

Re: WTF!? I thought I was at university
I doubt that shes pretty cool, she said a bunch of people were in the same boat and no one was going to get marks taken off.

Re: WTF!? I thought I was at university
so pretty much once you decided you were turning your paper in late we were going to get a thread complaining about either outcome?

Re: WTF!? I thought I was at university
No I was just a bit surprised at the outcome, I was expecting to get a few marks taken off at the least.

Re: WTF!? I thought I was at university

Re: WTF!? I thought I was at university
I've been on both sides of this mess, and unless your geology class has like 300 people or is grad level, oddjob is probably correct.
