A-K - late in tourney

$15 Tourney :

I would insta-call the button - but not sure after the SB calls.

i'd say get it in there!

below i pokerstove'd possible ranges for the button and the sb. in reality, i think that these ranges are, likely, quite tight and are not truly accurate of the opponents ranges (b/c the BTN is short and desperate and the SB has a huge stack and can afford to gambooool)

equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 33.782% 27.42% 06.36% 1490127362 345489093.33 { AhKs }
Hand 1: 28.750% 26.00% 02.75% 1412769187 149406795.33 { 88+, A9s+, KJs+, ATo+, KQo }
Hand 2: 37.468% 32.47% 05.00% 1764303710 271572708.33 { TT+, AJs+, KQs, AQo+ }

(hand 1 = btn, hand 2 = sb; but like i said, they're both IMO quite tight ranges)

1/3 to triple up, have a very effective 20+M stack, and go deep. i don't see how you can turn it down

omg you have 14BB and AK, and as if that isn't enough, you've already invested nearly 1/4 of your stack.

what are you waiting for? You want someone to assure you victory before you get your chips in?

Sorry if I'm harsh, but this forum is filled to the brim with people wondering what they should do with AK PF and only like 10-20BB.

I think our hand is a little too strong to just open shove from UTG+1. I like raising enough so that if we get one caller, you can shove the flop with it looking completely natural, read: go and go.

By shoving, we might not get as much action as Hero got. This is a tournament, we need chips if we want to make the FT. Flipping for a 30-40BB stack with AK against two Villains sounds lovely.

Oh yeah, antes?
