Darn short-stackers.
I don't like your line at all. Either check or push on the flop. Your weak c-bet almost forces him to push the turn.

Shove or check flop.

Raise more PF too - I go to 4$

Flop just put him in or give up on the hand.

When i am in a hand with a shortstack and a cbet will make him pot commited, I tend not to cbet unless I have something I am willing to call an all in with.

Here I would just check behind and try to show down AK high Although if he checks to you on the turn it might be ok to do a delayed cbet because usually a player has nothing in that situation in my experience (10nl)

betting 3.5 on the 3 bet sets up a flop shove better. i think the advice in this thread is good. you cant commit 2/3 of his stack on the flop with no plan, check or push.

As played, I think you may be ahead of a flush draw.

1) he coldcalled pf (I'm sooted)
2) he check-called the flop
3) his turn bet is a semi-bluff in his mind.

Shove or check flop.

[/ QUOTE ]What does villain call flop with here that folds if we shove instead? Does villain ever feel he has FE with his turn shove?

Of course what I'm getting at is does the $4 bet achieve 90% of what the shove does at a lower price?

Re: $25NL: Is this a bad line with AK?

I honestly think the 4 dollar bet does accomplish almost the same thing as a shove. If a villain is going to put him 40% of his short stack on this flop, what makes you think he wont put the rest in? I have been in this spot many times, trying both betting normal and shoving. I get called when I shove with the same hands I see calling me when I make a normal c bet.

i think we have to raise this more pf. i think its to about 4ish or so. but i push or check flop no sense in c-bet
