I have A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the BB. Four players go down to the river. The board is..

6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

A player holding 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] was awarded lo. Don't I have a split here??

Come on the other dude probably had a 4 or a 5 to go with his 3.

Then it'd be a 6x32A Lo, which makes sense.

Nope. The dealer called his 23 the nut low. There's usually only 1 or 2 Omaha/8 tables at my B& M, and the dealers are really sketchy about reading the board. It's my fault for not insisting on a floor manager.

[/ QUOTE ]Happens often in a live game that the dealer misreads the hand, especially the low. Usually someone at the table speaks up and corrects it.

Here you both have a "live three."

Actually having run through Omaha8 live for some Hold'em players last night, I have some sympathy for the dealer.

When you've got multiple Lo hands to compare, and there's some counterfeiting it'd be all too easy to miss something. Guess there's value in knowing exactly what hand you made and declaring it, and as the Count suggests, insisting on it.
