cp hand

playing with pbob at cb. right before this hand bob tells me that soon to be villian is a good / aggressive / winning / thinking player.

Theres a poster and I open in MP, post callers, villian calls on button, blinds fold.

The flop is w [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] x [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] y [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I bet, poster folds, villian raises, I 3 bet, he calls.

The turn is a z [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

I bet, he raises, I call. (I do not have a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in my hand)

The river is a total blank.

What is my line (on turn and/or river) w/

a) set
b) 2 pair
c) over pair
d) top pair top kicker (something like AQ, AJ, AT)
e) top pair weak kicker (maybe something like JTs, QJs)

yah I thought about this... and def should have posted it.

Board is J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] - 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] - 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

oh ya and ignore the 2pair part, since obv i never have that.

if he's good and thinking he should always have either a flush or a set here. if you have the A K or Q of [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in your hand he should be more likely to have a set than a flush. i'd fold all one pair hands with no diamonds and c/f the river with a one pair hand that does have a diamond if you miss your flush. i'd just call the turn planning to c/c a diamond river with a set.

This post hurts my brain...

I don't like callimg that raise without a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].

I c/c a set here to induce a bluff. Yes I am old school in that regard...

Re: cp hand

With c) d) and e) I am folding to the turn raise. With a) I am probably check-calling the river and b) I am probably check-folding.
