That this would still be the best month I've ever had.

I'm still a limit monkey . . . though yesterday both Sklansky & Miller's NL book came in the mail, and Harrington's 3rd NL Tourney book, so this weekend I was thinking of taking a couple of days and trying out what I've learned there.

But I don't have high hopes for success. I wish they'd make up their [censored] minds about how big continuation bets should tend to be. I see pot-sized here, half-pot-sized there, in-between over there, making up your damned minds, people.

Rather than thinking about bet sizes as standard (i.e. always half pot, always pot, always 3/4 pot), think about making a bet the appropriate size for what you want it to do against the particular opponent(s) still in.

You are much safer if you just overbet the pot every time you have a hand...that way noone can draw against you.
