Value from Top set

Last 2 days ive been hitting top sets like crazy
like i raise with JJ and flop comes 47Jrainbow
or i limp with 88 from EP and i hit 258 2 hearted board

and everytime i feel i play it sooo badly
getting not enough value
or just pricing people in

how would you play top set
against straight forward players not over aggressive or passive

so lets say youve raised to 150 at 25/50 with JJ from MP
and you got 2 calls from CO and BB
so the pot is now 475
and you flop 27J 2 hearts (you dont have a heart)

how do you proceed ?

Re: Value from Top set

PF: Well PF I raise to 200 from MP, we'll say i still get the same action.
Flop: If BB checks i lead for 3/4 pot with two Hs on board. If i get raised I rr hoping to get it in, if i get called and no H on turn i PSB.

Since i'm laggy and you said my opponents are str8 forward non-aggro i basically play it str8 up. If the situation is different and the person in the CO is aggro then maybe in some circumstances with a rainbow board i may check looking for a c-bet to CR, but otherwise in a multiway pot i try to maximize value here.

Without knowing stack sizes, against straightforward players I bet 350-400 here.
