Closest place to play live from Wilmington NC
 

What would the closest place to me that would cover 100 or 200 NL? (200 preferably but 100 is fine.) If its in Florida, where would you recommend? What places are cheap to stay in?

Basically i am looking to just head out and play poker for a long weekend (maybe tomorrow night to Monday morning, perhaps the week after.) What should i look out for and what advice would you have for someone looking to play some live poker?

Maybe one of those gambling boats from Myrtle Beach. Otherwise you are looking at Orlando, FL or WV (maybe).

If you're going to go as far as WV, you're better off going to AC, instead: easier to get to and more games to choose from.

jacksonville florida has a poker room im headed down there next weekend, cheap hotels also only $100 buyin though.send me a PM maybe we can meet up.

Dude, if you can get to Raleigh, Southwest has a great non-stop flight straight to Vegas for only $148 round trip. 5 actual hours, about 2 hours accounting for the time change, might very well be worth the drive from Wilmington. Get a cheap-ish room at a strip casino with a poker rate such as Excalibur and you are good to go. I checked southwest.com and that is the price Dec 6-9.
