I was toying with the idea of a thread on 'people/buildings/things that wouldn't be missed', and was going to kick it off with Paris.

This is way off topic, but I've noticed it: service in the US is far inferior to what I get here in Canada.

This surprises me since the US has better service than the places I've been to in Europe, South America or Mexico. The idea of "the client is always right" is not something that other countries seem to have and makes Americann service that much better.

Coming back on topic. I am very calm and very rarely get infuriated by anything. My peaceful nature leads to people to poke fun at me often. I understand how it can be infuriating, but it just isn't. A car can cut into my lane, a person could curse at me after I cut (accidentally) into his lane, a waitress could forget my order, none of this infuriates me. I do get furious a couple of times a year, but almost always, the reaction is calm and with a smile.
