Is it worth getting involved?

10/25 NL live. I have ~$4k, villain covers. I am playing somewhat of a less-aggressive game than normal since 5/10 is my regular game and I am taking a shot due to the presence of a notable live one (who is directly to my right). I have not been remotely close to a calling station. Villain, who IMO is the best person at the table, is hyper-aggressive and tricky and has picked up on the fact that I'm not willing to go the felt on marginal hands (in the 10/25 NL game).

I have 77 in UTG+1. Fish limps in UTG, I call, villain in MP raises to $100. BB calls, UTG calls, I call.

Flop is 853 rainbow. Checked to me, I check (?), villain bets $250. Folded to me. I ... ?

Nah, I'd let it go. It's understandably frustrating as hell b/c you're starting to feel like you're getting run over but this is a really, really bad spot to try and make a stand after he bets into 3 people.

divide everything by 10. if he bet 25 and you had 400 what would you do?

I took this to mean call and see a turn. If so, I agree. Seems like a good spot to float OOP in an attempt to get to river via checked turn.

raise. If he really thinks your playing weak c/r range is set/air/67s, provided he is likely to think this it def seems +ev to raise

I Think with the fish limping in it is better to isolate rather than trying to get lots of action hopig you hit. So raise preflop
