Re: TPGK vs Punketty

since you have the ten of spades i'd just go ahead and get it in there.

Re: TPGK vs Punketty

i'd rather call, call.

i'd also check the flop like 2/3 of the time here

have you ever played samo?

he really doesn't ever bluff here and checks all draws behind

would be impossible for him to check all draws behind since he's acting now, but i hiiiighly with these stacks he is betting turn + river wth a draw (and subsequently a busted draw). i think he prob takes this line and shoves riv if op has 2500

Re: TPGK vs Punketty

he doesnt have a flush draw here, so if you wanted to you could call and bluff when the flush comes

with these stacks, i'm sure he assumes op is not dumb enough to flat a naked fd with one to come, and he prob also assumes one that isn't naked puts more money in before the river

I honestly think I would pay ~ 25k to have samo's image. It's absolutely astounding how bad everyone plays versus him just because of his reputation.

Oh sammy is tight now!

He cut 10% off his VPIP.

BTW this is a clear, clear fold 85% of the time. As played I fold the turn.

Re: TPGK vs Punketty

After you flatcall the flop and he fires turn, I'd say it's a good time to fold. His betsizing looks fairly strongish IMO- normally big draws would bet like $725 on this turn or more from my experience. Looks like set; I'd say fold.

Re: TPGK vs Punketty

punketty likes betting two thirds of the pot mostly, so i wouldn't read too much into his bet sizing.

i'd say 25k is a bargain - you can net that much four tabling in a day with his image.

Re: TPGK vs Punketty

Ok, my thoughts were: He`s a good aggro Villain. He will 3bet his SPP quite often here. And pretty much all of his better aces, right?

He def. will 3bet lots of his suited one gappers or connectors, too.
Atleast i was pretty sure, that he won`t have a better ace.
Some of his drawing hands improved on turn to a combo draw, which could make him more likely to bet again and get it in.

Am i totally of?

Unless Samo has changed his game dramatically, you need better work on your reads.

Do you mean he gets paid off too much? How can his image be anything but "world-class player" considering how much he wins?

hm this really confuses me
can we expect a second barrel so seldomly when a blank hits on the turn that the best line is call c/r, fold any turn bet?

Call, call is better than getting it in almost certainly imo, but I think folding turn is best.

lapoker, was that Ts comment a joke or just something too super-sophisticated for us robots? Or both

TheWorstPlayer 11-30-2007 12:41 PM

Re: TPGK vs Punketty

pushing the turn lets you bluff/semi-bluff him better in the future. calling is very transparent on the turn. i dont mind a fold (and yes i've played him but not much recently) but from a balancing perspective i'd rather push the turn than call. also, i doubt he fires a third barrel here very often if he does indeed have a missed (combo) draw. he'll recognize that hero is playing a call/call line and not a call/fold line very often.
