How Do You Organize Your Buddy Lists?
 

I find my buddy list to be a bit messy and am curious to see how others organize their list

do you separate people by sex? age? Or by category? i.e.

Games
Poker
Church People
People I met while smoking a cigarrette
I don't like:

i used to do gender back in middle school

but now i found a much better system

i sorted into the frequency that i talk to the people

so it goes

everyday
semifrequent
occasionally
rarely

I separate them by gender, subcategories of hair color, then further subcategorized and ranked based upon hotness.

Then I have a section entitled "M.G.L. 272 Sec. 4" This section is ranked by age.

Everyone I know just uses gmail's gtalk.

Amongst my friends, we all have AIM but we never talk on it anymore - it's more about leaving people messages.

how old are you?

i'm 23, and only a couple people who use it in the office are ever online. a lot more people have their gmail logged in and its a lot easier to get a hold of people that way.

obviously in college, everyone uses AIM.

I wish my friends would use gtalk. I took a quick look at it and the fact that you can use a microphone and have it notify you of any emails you get in ur acct makes me want to switch!

Yeah, same here. I think most offices have cracked down on AIM use over the past few years, but Gmail is still accessible, so people use that at work (and at home) instead.
