2 endgame hands from stars $1 45man

Thought about putting this in sng strategy, but IMO these are more like small mtts.

Table is tight, blinds 6/12. Easy shove here?

Hero (t8130)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

In this hand, villain is CL. Villian has been playing TAG, although not good tag, "blindsaretoohigh" tag. Earlier at FT he flopped nutboat and checked flop/turn.

I am still having still having trouble with my shoves in MTTs when short. Can I shove with hand 1? Best line for hand 2? thx

edit: hand 2, villian checked to me on the flop

You're on the bubble right? Pushing in hand 1 is alright definityly dont limp or raise though since youre too short. You could also wait for the blinds to pass you and hammer the guys to your right who have near your stack with pushes as long as it folds to you. They will fold alot since its on the bubble. (Not sure aobut stars but FTP 45man= 6 get paid)

I shove any two in the second hand against most players, check it on sng wiz, it is usually hugely +EV - like 1%+.

if this was a stars turbo or FT sng I shove hand 1 everytime, if it's stars slow structure 45man I could fold H1, Hand 2 I bet 1600-1800 whenever I'm checked to in that sitch SB v BB, hitting a pair is a bonus, if he starts showing aggression like a slowplayed hand I think you have to give him credit for one and fold if for instance he calls flop and you check a blank turn after him, and he fires 2/3 pot or larger I'm prob not calling

Hand 1: Easy push. You have less than 7BB left and the table is tight.

Hand 2: If villain is going to fold to a push, he would probably fold to a ~2/3 pot bet. Bet 1500 and fold to a raise. If he calls (which he probably won't), you will have to reevaluate on the turn.

If you had less chips, a push would be good.

Hand 1 is an easy push, even though the table might not be as tight as you think because the bubble presumably just burst.

Hand 2 I push preflop against most villains. Very few people will complete with a strong hand here and you have more than enough to make him fold most of his hands. If he's completing 50% of hands and only calling top 10% you win 9600 the 4 times he folds which is more than you're risking with the shove. And that's before even considering the times you win when he calls (which is still 30% of the time against top 10%).

Hand 1 is a super easy shove. I'd shove here any pair 77+, KJ+, A8+. You're shortstacked and you've gotta pick a hand and gamble. A double up will afford you the chance to watch people butt heads and not have to risk chips with a mediocre hand. Just adding the blinds and antes will bring you up to about even with the rest of the table. If you let this go, you'll be out by the next level. If you run into a bigger hand, you're more than likely a coin flip against a smaller pair, or 40% against an A, or 30% against Ak or AQ. Gamble here.

Hand 2 - I don't think it's a shove. But I don't think you're necessarily behind. Make a 2/3 PSB and see what he does. Just because he checked the nuts on 2 streets doesn't mean he's going to do it again. Had the bubble burst yet when he checked them? Why would he want to bet out with the nuts when he can check and let a more desperate player catch and stack him and burst the bubble?
