Poker better in Germany or Holland?
 

Hi,

I'm going to be in north-western Germany, in Essen, for about a month and a half.

I was wondering if there are any ok poker rooms around that area, or if I would be better off driving to Holland and playing in some of the casinos there. I like to play NL Hold-em. I currently live in Southern California and I play 2-3 NL with $300 max buy-in. Are there any games like that out there?

Also, I was looking through some of the other threads and I saw 5-10 NL with 150 buy-in? That is the minimum buy in right?

Von Essen kommst du schnell ins Casino Dortmund-Hohensyburg. Die Westspielcasinos bieten aber eher wenig NL an. In Duisburg (auch in der Nähe von Essen) wird z.B. nur Limit (5/10) und Spread Limit (10/50)angeboten. In Aachen inzwischen wohl auch NL 2/4 (war lange nicht mehr da, hab ich nur gehört)

Dortmund:
An den Wochenenden wird auch [...] Texas No Limit, Blinds 5/5 angeboten.

Das Minimum Buy-in beträgt 100 Euro, Maximum 250 Euro beim No Limit.

Hollandcasino in Valkenburg und Venlo bietet NL mit 2/2 blinds und 400€ max.

Ach ja: In D und Holland sind die cash games übrigens alles Rauchertische.[img]/images/graemlins/crazy.gif[/img] Ist für jemanden aus USA vielleicht ungewöhnlich.

In Deutschland kann man noch am Tisch rauchen. In den Holland Casinos nicht mehr

Ich war im Oktober noch in Valkenburg und am cash game Tisch konnte geraucht werden.

am samstag ging es in venlo nicht mehr. und letzte woche in groningen auch nicht
